Authorized Dealer

As an authorized dealer of these brands, these instruments ship genuine and factory sealed, direct from the maker, with the manufacturer documentation in the box.

The Fluke 279 FC is a true-RMS digital multimeter with a built-in thermal imager, combining two tools in one instrument. Technicians can scan for hot spots on connectors, fuses, wires and terminals from a safe distance, then switch to full multimeter measurements to confirm the fault.

As a multimeter the 279 FC measures AC and DC voltage to 1000 V, resistance to 50 MΩ, capacitance to 9999 µF and frequency to 100 kHz, with 0.09% basic DC accuracy. The included iFlex flexible current probe extends AC current measurement to 2500 A and reaches conductors in tight combiner boxes and panels.

The integrated thermal imager has a 102 by 77 resolution and reads temperature from -10 °C to +200 °C on a full-color display. Built-in Fluke Connect sends readings and images wirelessly to a smartphone for reporting from the field, and the rechargeable lithium-ion battery supports about 10 hours of use.

See it, measure it, share it

The 279 FC pairs a thermal imager with a true-RMS multimeter and Fluke Connect, so a single tool finds the hot spot, confirms the reading and reports it from the field.

Key Features

Two tools in one

An integrated thermal imager and a full-featured true-RMS multimeter share one instrument, so technicians scan for heat and then measure without switching devices.

Find heat from a safe distance

The thermal imager reveals hot connectors, fuses, wires and terminals across a -10 °C to +200 °C range, helping locate faults before contact measurement.

iFlex current to 2500 A

The included iFlex flexible probe extends AC current measurement to 2500 A and slips into crowded combiner boxes and panels that rigid jaws cannot reach.

Fluke Connect wireless

Built-in Fluke Connect sends measurements and thermal images to a smartphone over a 2.4 GHz link, so results can be trended, saved and shared from the field.

All-day rechargeable power

A rechargeable lithium-ion battery supports about 10 hours of use and recharges in roughly 4.5 hours, with a color display for clear viewing of images and readings.

Questions and Answers
