What materials can the MO230 measure?
It reads moisture in wood, paper, wallboard, sheet rock, cardboard, plaster, concrete and mortar, with calibrations for about 150 wood species and 19 building material types.
How does the MO230 measure moisture?
It uses pin-type electrical resistance measurement. The contact pins insert into the material to give a direct reading for that spot.
Are the pins replaceable?
Yes. The MO230 uses replaceable threaded contact pins measuring 0.3 inch, and replacement pins are included with the meter.
What does the wet and dry indication do?
The meter offers a programmable wet and dry indication and an index mode with high and low values, so it flags when a reading crosses a threshold you set.
